Raisz-Drezner JBMR® First Paper Awards

The ASBMR Raisz-Drezner Journal of Bone and Mineral Research (JBMR^®) First Paper Awards honor first authors of meritorious scientific publications published in the JBMR^®. Among qualifying submissions that reach final acceptance, one such paper will be determined by the review committee to be of highest merit. The award includes a $1,000 USD honorarium and a plaque, both of which are presented to the recipient at the ASBMR Annual Meeting.

Submissions for the 2026 Raisz-Drezner JBMR^® First Paper Award will open later this year.

Eligibility

To qualify for consideration for the ASBMR Raisz-Drezner Award, a paper must:

Be the first JBMR^® scientific paper where the first author appears as first author
Have been submitted between June 1, 2025, and May 30, 2026.
Be a current ASBMR member through the end of 2026.

Papers accepted for publication in the JBMR^® that were submitted according to the eligibility guidelines noted above
